Ramblings of a Gen-Xer aka the Retro Corner

20-OCT-2026-UPDATE

A lot of people have been wondering where is LaSTiC in 2026 ?
So I thought to give a bit of an update here.

The Celllar BBS page here has been updated with new pictures.

End of 2025 a lot of personal emotions caught up and got the better hand of me.
Causing sleep deprivation, having to ultimately go on sick leave for an extended period.

The BBS also decided to play tricks on me by crashing on the first of January 2026
and sometimes working, sometimes not.
In March/April I gave up and switched it off, lacking energy and motivation to
keep troubleshooting the issue.

Focussing primarely on my health and sleep, this meant I missed out on a lot of
events this year, Rsync, Outline, Revision.

By June I was back on my feet but a bit cautious which wasn’t such a bad idea
since what I was quietly expecting, happened.

Luckily I was better prepared this time and thus I have started having a sane
retro-fever again and in general good health.

A lot has happened on Atari 8-bit and ST progress , retro in general,
seems like AI sometimes can be an advantage it seems.

Me, I switched on the BBS a week ago and it booted first try so we are back in
business.

Now up to me to refresh the contents.

Apart from that I have been toying around with my PowerPC Macs again and MorphOS.
For those running MorphOS and Atari scene related, I had some help from Claude.
Expect some Atari related MorphOS releases.

No events for me this year as I am saving up some money, so no Fujiama ,
no Benediction Coding Party, no Silly Venture, but planning for 2026.

Last but not least I want to thank everybody that checked in with me.
( in no particular order and I hope I didn’t forget anybody if so please know I appreciate your concern )
